The engagement is being made under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 5,000 training seats are on offer across 35 States and Union Territories. The application window opened on May 19, 2026, and candidates have until June 8, 2026, to submit their applications.
This is one of the larger banking apprenticeship opportunities of the year, and graduates who have been sitting on the fence should act quickly — the deadline is firm.

Educational Qualification
A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. For NATS-registered candidates, the graduation result date must not be more than four years before the cut-off date of May 1, 2026.
Other Eligibility Conditions
• Must be registered on the NAPS portal and/or the NATS portal.
• Must not have previously undergone apprenticeship training with any establishment, including Bank of Baroda.
• Must not be currently pursuing any apprenticeship.
• Must not have been terminated from a previous apprenticeship due to personal fault.
• Must not have one year or more of training or job experience after completing graduation.
Selected candidates will undergo 12 months of on-the-job training. The training is not regular employment and not contract employment. Apprentices will be treated as trainees only — not as employees — and will not be entitled to any benefits that the bank's regular or contractual employees receive. After the training period ends, candidates will be automatically relieved from their respective work areas. The bank has no obligation to offer regular employment upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 during the one-year engagement period. This amount will be paid after the completion of each month, adjusted for any loss of pay. No other allowances or benefits are payable.
Selection will be based on three stages: an Online Examination, Document Verification, and a Test of the local language of the State for which the candidate has applied.
Online Examination
The online test is objective in nature, consisting of 100 questions carrying 100 marks, to be completed in 60 minutes. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
Section | Questions | Marks | Medium |
General/Financial Awareness | 25 | 25 | Hindi/English |
Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude | 25 | 25 | Hindi/English |
Computer Knowledge | 25 | 25 | Hindi/English |
General English | 25 | 25 | English Only |
Total | 100 | 100 | 60 Minutes |
The exam will be remotely proctored. Candidates can appear from any location — including their homes — using a smartphone, laptop, desktop, or tablet with a functional front camera, microphone, and stable Wi-Fi connection. Merit lists will be prepared on a State-wise and category-wise basis. Ties in marks at the cut-off point will be resolved by ranking candidates in descending order of age.
Document Verification
Candidates will be required to appear for document verification at a centre within the State or UT they applied for, at their own expense. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse any travel costs.
Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates must be proficient in at least one specified local language of the State or UT for which they have applied. The language test will be held after the online examination, and failing it will disqualify a candidate from further engagement. However, candidates who can produce their Class 10 or Class 12 mark sheet showing they studied the required local language will be exempt from this test.
